Which product should I choose: Astamite™ C One Shot or Titebond® 50?
Astamite™ C One Shot is a powder resin for laminating, veneering, doweling, finger jointing, door production and high-grade furniture assembly. Titebond® 50 is a ready-to-use viscous liquid glue for edge and face gluing and general assembly where a fast set is needed. Not sure? Contact our sales team and we will recommend the right one for your process.
Do I need to add a hardener or catalyst to Astamite™ C One Shot?
No. Astamite™ C One Shot is a pre-catalysed, fully compounded adhesive, so no additives are required. It cures at room temperature.
How long is the working (gel) time of Astamite™ C One Shot?
The gel time is about 35–65 minutes at 32°C. Higher temperatures shorten the working time, so mix only what you can use within that period.
How long can the products be stored, and how?
Both products have a shelf life of about 6 months. Keep Astamite™ C One Shot in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and reseal the bag after use so the powder does not harden. Keep Titebond® 50 in a closed container at around 21°C.
Can Titebond® 50 be exposed to cold or freezing temperatures?
No. Titebond® 50 is not freeze/thaw stable. Its minimum use temperature is about 2°C (35°F). If the product has been frozen, contact us before using it.
What clamp / press time does Titebond® 50 need?
Typical assembly time is 5–10 minutes and press time is 30 minutes to 2 hours, depending on the wood species, moisture content and room conditions. Allow an overnight cure before machining the panels.
What wood moisture content is recommended?
A moisture content of 6–8% is recommended. Wetter wood greatly increases clamp time and can cause panel shrinkage, stress cracks or joint failure. Joints should be straight, clean and freshly prepared.
How do I clean up the glue?
Titebond® 50 cleans up with water while still wet. Warm water or steam will soften dried glue. Coating clamps and press platens with wax or a release agent makes cleaning easier.
Where can I get the Technical Data Sheet (TDS) and Safety Data Sheet (SDS)?
You can download them on our Products and Contact pages, or ask our sales team for the latest versions.
What pack sizes are available?
Astamite™ C One Shot comes in a 25 kg bag. Titebond® 50 comes in a 20 kg pail.
What is the minimum order quantity?
The minimum order is just 1 bag or 1 pail.
Can I get a free sample?
Yes, free of charge. We provide 0.5–1 kg of each product depending on your pressing method: 0.5 kg for cold pressing and 1 kg for hot pressing. If you need to test several batches, we can supply a suitable quantity at a special price. Contact our sales team and tell us which product and application you would like to test.
Do you deliver, and how long does it take?
Yes. Delivery is free for customers in Bangkok and the surrounding provinces. For other provinces, shipping is charged at actual cost. Delivery usually takes 1–2 days.
What payment methods do you accept? Can you issue a tax invoice?
Your first order is paid in cash or by bank transfer. After that, we offer 30-day credit terms from the delivery date. Credit terms of up to 90 days can be considered on request. We issue tax invoices for every order.
Do you offer on-site testing or technical advice at our factory?
Yes. Our team can visit your factory to help with trials and give technical advice on using the adhesive in your production process.
